Frederick L. Bennett
Honorable World War II Soldier | Son and Husband | 1915-1944
Dedication and Legacy
This website is dedicated to the late Frederick L. Bennett. Bennett was a human, a son, a husband, and a soldier. He fought in World War II, dying in battle on the tragic and bloody D-Day. Enlisting in the war, he left behind his loved ones to fight for his country and protect his people. When he died on Omaha Beach in Normandy that day, the world lost a great soul. Fighting in this battle was an amazing accomplishment in and of itself, as this invasion was a major turning point in World War II that helped to overcome the forces of Nazi Germany. He possessed tremendous courage to defend our nation and his memory deserves to be honored and preserved. As stated by General John J. Pershing in Frederick Bennett's memorial certificate, "Time will not dim the glory of their deeds."
